Medical insurance for a Ukrainian visa and for a residence permit
Two different policies, for two different purposes. We order the right one from a verified Ukrainian insurer, pay for it on your behalf, and hand you a document the consulate or the migration service will accept. Visa cover from $50 for 90 days. Residence cover from $150 for one year.

This catches almost everyone out. The insurance a Ukrainian consulate accepts for a visa and the insurance the State Migration Service accepts for a temporary residence permit are not the same product, and a policy bought for the first is routinely refused for the second.

Visa insurance

For 90 days, for a Ukrainian visa application. If you order our D-10 visa service, this policy is already included in that fee and is not charged again.
Residence permit insurance
from $150
For one year, compliant with the requirements for immigration purposes. Also included in our $700 residence permit service, where you order that.
One price, paid once. It includes our service and the premium we pay the insurer on your behalf, so you are not asked for a separate premium later. The final figure depends on your age, your nationality, the exact period and the cover you choose, and we confirm it in writing after we have those details. Both policies can be ordered on their own, without any other service from us.
What we do for you
- Establish which of the two policies your application actually needs, and on what wording, before any money is spent.
- Select a verified and trusted Ukrainian insurer whose policy the relevant authority accepts in practice, not only in theory.
- Place the order and pay the premium on your behalf.
- Deliver the policy in the format the authority wants, on letterhead with signature and seal, or electronically with a qualified electronic signature or QR code.
- Reissue or extend it when your permit is renewed, so that the cover never lapses mid-application.
The point of the service is that you make one payment and receive one document that works. You do not open an account with a Ukrainian insurer, you do not pay a Ukrainian premium from a foreign card, and you do not discover at the counter that the policy you bought online covers the wrong thing.
Questions we are asked
Can I use travel insurance I already have from home?
Sometimes for a visa, rarely for a residence permit. A foreign policy must state the sum insured, the territory of cover including Ukraine, and the period, and it must be presented in a form the authority can read and verify. Send it to us and we will tell you whether it will be accepted before you rely on it.
How quickly can the policy be issued?
Usually the same working day once we have your passport details and the period. Urgent cases are normally a matter of hours.
Do I need to be in Ukraine to buy it?
No. Both policies can be arranged while you are abroad and sent to you electronically.
What happens if my visa or permit is refused?
The policy remains yours for the period it covers. Insurance premiums are not refunded by the insurer because an application was refused, and we cannot recover them for you. This is one of the reasons we confirm the requirements in writing before buying anything.
Does the policy give me access to Ukrainian doctors?
Yes. These are real medical policies, not paper for the file. They cover emergency treatment in Ukraine within their limits, and the insurer operates an assistance line. What they are not is a substitute for comprehensive private health cover, and we will say so plainly if that is what you actually need.
